Problems that occur in junior high schools, especially class VII, are still many students who feel and experience boredom in learning mathematics. Abstract subjects such as mathematics and loaded with cognitive content, require students to work hard using specific strategies to learn them. These characteristics often make it difficult for students to learn Mathematics. This difficulty can lead to boredom in learning mathematics which can also have an impact on learning outcomes and a decrease in students’ mathematical reasoning abilities, the problem occurs because of a lack of effectiveness in learning.

Based on the description, it can be seen that the reasoning ability is very important for students. If students are able to use their reasoning abilities to the maximum, students can easily understand, abstract, classify, and associate concepts that exist in mathematics. Conversely, if students have not used their reasoning abilities to the fullest, students will have difficulty understanding, abstracting, classifying, and associating concepts that exist in mathematics.
The abilities that must be achieved in mathematics learning are 1) mathematical reasoning ( reasoning and proof), 2) mathematical representation (representation ), 3) mathematical communication (communication), 4) mathematical connections (connections), and 5) problem solving (problem-solving). Of the five standards, there are mathematical reasoning. One of the goals of mathematics learning in schools is so that students are able to use reasoning on patterns and traits, make mathematical manipulations in generalizing, compiling evidence, or explaining mathematical ideas and statements.
Seeing the development of the world ‘s advanced science and technology, each individual must be able to balance and adjust to existing conditions. Through education, humans become more qualified and virtuous, so that they are useful for other humans. Therefore, education plays an important role in the survival of the nation and state.
Fun learning strategy (joyful learning ) is a learning system that seeks to arouse interest, full involvement, and the creation of meaning, understanding, happy values for students, joyful learning strategies there are 4 stages: 1. Preparation, 2. Submission, 3. Training, 4. Cover. Humor in learning is communication carried out by educators using the insertion of words, language, and images that are able to tickle students to laugh, in the stage of delivery and training on joyful learning strategies used cartoon humor, images and teaching materials that are inserted or used in the subject matter.
This is the result of mathematics learning. The first group almost shows no significant change. Technically they are better, but their motivations arise from the environment, not from within themselves. They more often give up facing challenges.
Mathematical reasoning skills are needed in mathematics learning so it needs to be improved as well as motivation to learn mathematics because students’ mathematical reasoning abilities in many countries are still relatively low, there were still many students leaving mathematics in some high schools before the lesson was finished, from the study it was seen that there was still a low motivation to learn mathematics.
In the opinion of Freudenthal in Nur’ela states that mathematics should not be seen as a teaching material that must be transferred directly as ready-to-use mathematics, but must be viewed as a human activity. Mathematics learning should be done by giving the widest opportunity to students to try to find themselves through certain assistance from the teacher. Therefore a teacher must be able to create learning conditions that are meaningful and can present material properly and correctly.
Examples of meaningful learning in math, such an Introduction of sequence numbers to students. The example is like when you take the marbles and prepare a paper to show the numbers.
